RECYCLING THROUGH THE REFILL

Flavia through the Danshari Studio's eyes.

Flavia is the person who is behind these slow fragrances.

After some years working as Community Manager for Fashion, Art, flowers and other luxury companies from Italy, Switzerland and Spain;

as Art Director for places such as the Museo del Traje in Madrid, and as an editor for magazines such as Instyle Spain;
she decides then, to start her own project, making it slower and more natural, based on handcraft, art and trade.
A lover of perfumes since she was a child (when se started to create her alchemies with plants from the garden of her grandparents' villa),
after living for two years in Milan (her mother native city), she learns to develop her olfactory gift, devouring all the Italian books about perfume
and wandering the streets of all the niche perfume stores in Milan and Florence.

She trained at the Istituto Marangoni of Design, and deepened her experience upon returning to Madrid, her hometown, learning directly from Loewe.
Even so, her project speaks in a different way from what we are used to doing perfumes. Because they are personalized fragrances.
It is a method based on psychology, since the structure of top, heart and base olfactory notes, is based on an analysis of the past, present and future of each person or company for which the product is designed. And a lot is produced from intuition and a deep connection with nature.

Flavia performs the alchemy process in a glass-enclosed viewpoint in her grandparents' villa in the Sierra of Madrid,
where it all began when she was a child...
With the view of her secular pines and on the reflections of the San Juan lake,
she gets inspired to create;
and taking as many plants as possible from her garden, she makes organic,
natural packages full of details
,
just like her German grandmother used to do.
Thus leaving in their products, also an aesthetic touch of the minimalist but extremely careful naturalism of the Germans and the other Nordic countries.
Since the rest of the brand emanates the Mediterranean through all its pores, especially in the aromas of many of the fragrances.

Flavia tries to make her brand speak of her family origins and childhood memories,
through the smell...
That is why the origin of its floral waters is diverse, like her multicultural origins.
 

The floral waters come from a historical Spanish laboratory,  with a great old flavor, and from a small Sicilian island,
where a German woman performs the entire extraction process with her own hands.

And that is the mixture that you feel in Flavia's fragrances:
that nordic elegance, intertwined with the Spanish smells of an ancient time, and the wild sensation of the unique vegetation of the Mediterranean Italian Sea.
They move completely away from the chemical and alcohol-filled smells,
which we are used to and anesthetized by.
So it invites you to breathe
really again.

Everything is worked through the wisdom of three cultures such as Italian, Spanish and German;
connected everything through Flavia's ability to combine, and her olfactory instinct; and told by herself through different artistic languages.
 
The desire is finding for each person or company the own fragrance,
for each moment of life, or for the whole life.
Because smells accompany you and represent everything better than anything. Since smell is the most instinctive sense. It goes with the unconscious.
It brings you directly to places, moments and emotions.
It is powerful, and it dresses and undresses
people and spaces.

This project supports the idea of ​​the individual uniqueness of each person or business entity,
and supports handcraft, small businesses, natural processes,
and the power of memories to be happier and more coherent with our identity.
It is a distant echo that tries to go gently
with a breeze over the masses that need to be totally homogeneous and without personality or flavour.
